End of the World part 1

     I'm sure that everyone has heard the theory that 2012 is when the world is supposed to end as we know it. Seems unlikely that anyone could predict this. The world will end one day that is a fact, just like every one dies is a fact as well. If it doesn't happen with in the next 5 billion years the sun will become a red giant and either engulf the planet or burn off all water and air. So the world will end. All past generations have believed that they were living in the end times so it is nothing new to think that the sky will be falling in the near future.
     Not only did the Mayans predict(or did they really??) that the end of the world will be at the end of this year but the Hopi Indians, the I Ching, Timewave Zero, the Indian guru Kalki Bhagavan are some that mention 2012 specifically. There are also many that predict the end times but don't mention a date. These include: Nostradamus, Revelations, Sumerian writings, The Donner Party, WebBots, Bruce Bueno De Mesquita and many more.
     In the next few weeks I will write about each one in detail and give my thoughts on them.
